On the 29^th of October of 2009 the fifth presentation of the Icons of design awards took place, an award which recognizes the most outstanding architecture and design in Mexico.

The city of Gwangju, Korea, was this year's venue for the LUCI (Lighting Urban Community International) annual meeting. The meeting, which was held last year in San Luis Potosí, Mexico (see note below), is considered to be the most important event in the world of urban lighting design.

On the 19th of August the spectacular Laboratory of Light, located in San Angel was the venue for the event Light, Glass, Art and Architecture organized by Gustavo Avilés and Taller de Vidrio, a stage for the first international meeting of glass artists.

Cabaret Magazine appears under a risky and innovative premise. The combination of two topics, which, at first sight, seen quite different: gastronomy and architecture. It proposes the hypothesis of fusing both disciplines in a single space, joining together themes, interests and readers. This six-monthly publication in digital format has proven to do just that.
