With the intention of encouraging Light culture in Mexico, Lighteam published an open call for all ilIllustrators who
attended the course at the UNAM, entitled: Illustration, Processes and Contexts. The motive was developing a graphic proposition for macroprojection technology as a form of creative intervention in multidimensional architectonic surfaces. This event can be seen as an interaction platform between lighting and other disciplines.

The call had a widespread response. Each of the authors put forth an original design where both their style and investigative line were appreciated. Illustrating for a new platform is a challenge, it becomes a pleasant experiment. Macroprojection has its own characteristics, rules and fields to be explored. The main challenge the participants had to face was working wth light as an image generator, all strokes, ranges and textures are created by a lighting intervention. Another factor to be taken into account was the scales of the projections. We seldom have the possibility of managing such large scales and many times an idea captured on paper is challenged with monumental scales, proving its appropriateness in a foreign environment and integrating with it.

This Project focused on proving the possibilities PANI macroprojection technology has to offer by offering a high quality in visual content, thus generating new work opportunities and opening the doors to interaction between disciplines such as lighting, architecture and art.
