
The second internacional diploma for Architectural Lighting Design, organizad by UNAM with the academic support of the KTH University of Stockholm and the association of europan lighting designers, ELDA+, with the coordination of Gustavo Avilés is taking place in Mexico City and has attracted attention both in the University community as in the professional national lighting circle.
The diploma counts with a very high qualified teaching staff like Sergio Anaya, Joseph Rubenak, Enrique Quintero,Gustavo Avilés, Rossana Guerrero, Laura Guerrero, Arq. Joaquín Jamaica and the german designer Sussane Weber. All of them renowned in the nacional scenary. The diploma counts also with international lecturers of great stature, like Guinter Parschalk (Brasil), Anne Bureau (France), Dieter Bartenbach (Austria) and Martin Khun (Germany).
The group of students consists in 50 graduates that come from different disciplines such as architecture, industrial design, graphic design, engineering or archeology. They are encouraged to discover light and its benefits as matter and material, lern how to use lighting as a tool for design.
The course started this October and will last till February 2007. During the next months there are still interesting workshops, main conferences and technological presentations to come.
The closing ceremony of this important academic event will gather the autorities of UNAM ,the representatives of the KTH Stockholm University and ELDA+.
